Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Dual diagnosis treatment at Miramar Recovery is provided by our highly educated and qualified staff, as well as through our comprehensive clinical services, which are proven  successful in treating drug and alcohol addiction when mental health issues are present.

By combining time-proven methods with research-based innovation and emerging evidence-based practices, we are able to provide some of the lowest recidivism rates in the industry, specifically as it concerns dual diagnosis treatment.

There are numerous components and approaches to dual diagnosis treatment, which include capable clinical staff, a proven curriculum for dual issues, a broad range of therapeutic modalities, and a supportive, safe and comfortable environment.

We’ll address a few of these considerations.

Motivational Approaches:

These engage our clients and retain them in our services. We train our clinical staff in the use of motivational enhancement strategies, which is a field-tested method of using client-directed services to maximize client engagement. This greatly avoids the use of historical confrontational strategies.

Integrated Treatment:

In our integrated treatment sessions, a client’s behavioral health and addictions needs can be fully addressed in one setting which incorporates a team of experts including psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and licensed alcohol and drug counselors.

Trained Staff:

Our staff is highly trained in delivering evidence-based dual diagnosis treatment.

Client-Directed Treatment:

We encourage our clients to assist, particularly providing critical feedback in determining the pace, goals, and course of their dual diagnosis treatment. Thus, our clients are treated as partners, rather than subjects in the recovery process.
