On-Site detoxification means that all of our detoxification services provided by our consulting physicians, nurse, registered dietitian, acupuncturist, masseuse, and other professionals are provided in the comfort and security of our own facility. We do not outsource or contract with outside detoxification programs. As a result, our clients are able to enjoy maximum comfort, privacy and safety, as well as complete continuity in their addiction treatment from detoxification through primary treatment.

Detoxification Treatment Team We utilize three licensed and experienced independent physicians to manage the detoxification process for our clients, who need to detoxify, prior to commencing their primary treatment. We also utilize the expertise of several other detoxification professionals who assist our physicians.

Detoxification Process Upon admission to our treatment program, each client undergoes a comprehensive medical history and physical, including lab work, if indicated, with one of our consulting addiction medicine physicians to determine if detoxification is necessary. For dual diagnosis clients, our consulting addiction psychiatrist manages the detoxification process. She also completes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and assessment for diagnostic and medication management purposes. Detoxification time periods vary from just a few to several days, depending on the client and the nature of the addiction. With very few exceptions, our clients respond very well to the detoxification protocols. Typically, within 48 hours of initiation, clients feel good enough to participate in primary our treatment services and adjunct activities, while they continue to undergo drug or alcohol detoxification.

Detoxification Accommodations Ours are among the most luxurious accommodations available in the treatment field, wherein our clients can rest comfortably and quietly during the detoxification period. We have private and semi-private rooms available. Each of our rooms has an adjoining bathroom for privacy and convenience. In addition to our physicians, our nurse and 24-hour house staff monitor vital signs and the overall comfort and well-being of our detoxifying clients, on a very frequent basis, day and night. Our chefs, in conjunction with our Registered Dietitian, provide soothing and comfortable food and beverages to ensure proper nutrition and full hydration for our clients’ maximum comfort. We are committed to doing everything possible to provide the safest, most comfortable, and restful detoxification process possible for our clients.
