Diagnosis and Assessment

Upon admission to our Dual Diagnosis Program, our clients undergo a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation by our consulting psychiatrist. The psychiatrist assesses and edits, as necessary, all existing medications and prescribes more effective medication solutions, when appropriate. Our clients continue to have follow up sessions with the psychiatrist, throughout their treatment period at Miramar.

Additionally, our clients undergo a comprehensive biological-psychological-social evaluation with one of our program psychologists, so that we can more effectively treat whichever co-occurring conditions are present.

Treatment

Each of our clients receives a minimum of 3-4 individual therapy sessions each week, during their treatment period. In these sessions, the often underlying, unresolved issues that drive addiction and co-occurring issues are actually addressed and resolved, thus allowing the client to fully heal and avoid future relapse. It is a miraculously freeing and healing process!

Our clients also participate in a minimum of 2-3 group therapy sessions each day, wherein they further their therapeutic journey. These therapeutic motivational, educational sessions are powerful and productive.

Each of our clients undergoes an initial nutritional evaluation, by our registered dietitian, as well as follow up sessions, to insure that our clients understand and enjoy proper nutritional habits. We have two exceptionally talented chefs, who prepare clean, nutritious, and appealing meals for our clients.

Finally, we also utilize a massage therapist, acupuncturist, activities therapist, and other adjunct treatment providers to aid in the healing process of those with co-occurring issues.

Aftercare Plan

We understand the critical importance of a detailed and action-oriented aftercare plan. When clients receive exceptional treatment and then adhere to a comprehensive, strategic plan for continued progress, after discharge from treatment, they succeed! They go on to live the happy, productive life they deserve. Our treatment team creates a detailed, aftercare plan for each client, including physician and therapist recommendations, monitoring programs, meeting schedules, and many other appropriate recommendations.
