Inpatient Primary Care

Miramar Recovery's inpatient primary treatment program, formally classified as Residential Inpatient Treatment, is the most comprehensive treatment available today for drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and dual diagnosis.
Our treatment course, which moves the client through all phases of treatment, commences with the comprehensive initial Evaluations and Assessments, progressing to the development of the Treatment Plan, to the Implementation/Modification of the Treatment Plan, and ultimately to the detailed After Treatment/Discharge Plan, provides a fully developed, methodical, proven course of treatment that results in highly successful outcomes for our clients.

The Miramar Primary Treatment Program utilizes both the 'Therapeutic Model' of treatment, as well as the 'Addiction Model' of treating addiction and co-occurring disorders that so commonly drive addicted behavior.

Through the Therapeutic Model of treatment, our clients are able to uncover and address the underlying, often latent issues that cause numerous psychiatric conditions, such as anxiety, depression, compulsive behavior, trauma, and others. In a totally confidential, safe, private setting, our clients meet for numerous, individual sessions each week with our Program Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Program Addiction Specialists, who are highly experienced in addressing and resolving these issues.

Through the 'Addiction Model' our clients gain education and understanding of addictive behavior, its causes and behaviors. Our Addiction Specialists help clients develop an architecture or framework and context around the addictive behavior, teaching skills and mechanisms that are essential to prevent relapse, when triggers or stressors present themselves, once the client leaves the controlled, safe environment of our treatment center.

The therapeutic work of all of our Treatment and Clinical Specialists encompasses proven behavior therapies, individual therapy, support group and family therapy, and other therapeutic and counseling techniques. Additionally, our clients participate in numerous other ancillary or adjunctive therapies and activities that are designed to strengthen their minds, bodies and spirits.

Primary Care Program Synopsis

Upon admission, each client is examined by our Medical Team for general medical and detox evaluation. These services are provided by our M.D. Psychiatrist and/or our Addiction Nurse, both of whom conduct all assessments on-site.

Following medical and detoxification stabilization, each of our clients receives the following additional assessments/evaluations:

• Full Psychiatric Evaluation, conducted by our Program Psychiatrist
• Biological-psychological-social assessment conducted by our Program Psychologist
• Full Addiction Assessment, provided by one of our Program Addiction Specialists

The results of these assessments, and any other deemed necessary by the Clinical Team are combined to create the Treatment Plan, which will be the blueprint for the client's treatment, while he/she is with us. Each client is assigned to a Case Manager, who manages the entire Treatment Plan, modifying it as necessary, at least weekly.

Our 'all-inclusive' on-site treatment includes, but is not limited to the following:

• 3-4 Individual, one-on-on therapy sessions, each week
• Family and/or loved one therapy sessions each week, when appropriate
• 2 Small Group Therapy and Counseling Sessions, daily
• Adjunct Treatment Services (Acupuncture, Massage, Experiential Activities/Therapies, among others) each week
• Private Study Time, daily
• Gourmet Dining provided by 2 in-house chefs
• All transportation
• Continuing After-Treatment Discharge Plan

Clients are housed in a private, family-type environment- We treat a maximum of 4-6 clients per residence in a luxurious and comfortable healing environment and our Primary Treatment Services are unrivaled in the entire treatment industry.
